"PopSci's Brilliant 10." *Popular Science,* November 2002.

The magazine presents its "first annual celebration of scientists who are shaking up their fields and whose work will touch your life." Among the ten is mathematician Manjul Bhargava, "Princeton wunderkind [who] bangs the drum for the beauty of number theory." The article quotes his Ph.D. Advisor, Andrew Wiles, as saying that Bhargava's thesis was one of the strongest he's seen in years. A brief summary is given of Bhargava's elegant proofs built on the work of Gauss, of Lagrange, and of Scheenberger and Conway at Princeton.
