"The Grade A, Number 1 Prime Puzzle of Math," by Greg Mone. Popular Science, May 2003.
The magazine published a capsule review of the book Prime Obsession, byJohn Derbyshire, and an extended review (along with a primer on the ClayInstitute's millennium problems) by Mone online. The reviewer describesDerbyshire's introduction of two aspects---the life of Riemann, and adescription of the math itself---and says that the initial separate section onmathematics is "skippable," although the two narratives later merge asRiemann's life "becomes one with mathematics". Mones declares the book"difficult but rewarding."
