Diagrams and Illustrations

Three of the most common themes in the area of diagrams and illustrations for mathematical authors are:

  • commutative diagrams
  • importing graphics in the various standard formats produced by graphical software
  • placing labels on top of imported graphics

For importing graphics into LaTeX documents, one good piece of documentation is Keith Reckdahl's guide Using Imported Graphics in LaTeX2e (PDF, 1.5 Mb).
