  Accessing User Profile

You may modify information in your user profile at anytime. To access the User Profile screen you must first sign in. Once you have signed in, you will be directed to your User Profile. From there, you will have access to update the following information:

  • Account Security Information (including username and password)
  • AMS Member/Customer Information
  • Combined Membership Listing (Update CML)
  • Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID Information

If you have not already provided your AMS Member/Customer Code and/or Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID you may add this information through your user profile screen.

Account Security Information

Security information can be maintained from the User Profile screen. This screen is accessible when you are signed in. The first section of your User Profile is for changing Account Security Information. This information includes username and passwordr.

Steps to follow:

  • From the User Profile screen, click the Change link located in the Account Security Information section.
  • This screen displays all of your security information. To make any changes on this screen you must enter your current password. This is the first input box you will see.
  • Your current username is displayed next. To change it, type your new username in the input box below it labeled New Username. For help with choosing a new username, view some username recommendations.
  • The next two input boxes are for changing your password. Type your new password in the New Password input box and then retype it in the following box. For help with choosing a new password, view some password recommendations.
  • Click Save to make changes to this page effective. If you wish to exit this screen without saving any changes, click the Cancel button.
  • The Save button returns you to the User Profile screen where you may update other account information.

AMS Member/Customer Information

The AMS Member/Customer Information section of your User Profile, contains your AMS Member/Customer Code, name and email address. If you have not provided an AMS Member/Customer Code, you may add it in this section.

Add an AMS Member/Customer Code

Steps to follow:

  • Click the Add Member/Customer Code link. Note: if you have previously provided a valid AMS Member/Customer code, it will be displayed as read only.
  • Type your AMS Member/Customer Code in the box provided. Your code can be found on the mailing label of journal issues you receive from the AMS. The code is also on your dues renewal notification form. If you can not find your AMS Member/Customer code, contact Customer Services at cust-serv@ams.org or 401-455-4000 or 800-321-4267.
  • Click the Save button. If you wish to exit this screen without saving any changes, click the Cancel button.
  • The Save button returns you to the User Profile screen where you may update other account information.

Edit Contact Information

Steps to Follow:

  • Changes can be made to the name and email address that you provided when signing up. Click the Edit link located next to Contact Information.
  • The next screen will display input boxes populated with existing information. You may modify any existing information and add missing information to the blank input boxes.
  • Click Save. If you wish to exit this screen without saving any changes, click the Cancel button.
  • The Save button returns you to the User Profile screen where you may update other account information.

Update CML

If you have provided an AMS Member/Customer Code, you may update your Combined Membership Listing (CML).

Steps to follow:

  • Click the Update CML navigation link located at the top of the screen.
  • This will launch the Update CML application. Your information will be displayed.
  • You may modify any existing information and add missing information to the blank input boxes.
  • Click the Continue Update button when you are finished making changes.
  • You will be asked to verify that the changes you made are correct. Click the Submit Changes button to make the changes final.
  • You will receive a confirmation screen notifying you that the changes were made successfully.
  • Close this window to return to your User Profile.

Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID Information

If you are a reviewer and have a reviewer number or you receive AMS points and have an AMS points ID, you may add it in this section.

Add Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID

Steps to follow:

  • Click the Add Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID link. Note: if you have previously provided a valid Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID, it will be displayed as read only.
  • Type your Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID in the box provided. Your Reviewer Number/AMS Points ID is a six digit code that you can find either in the upper left portion of each review sheet you receive, or on your AMS Points Statement.
  • Click the Save button. If you wish to exit this screen without saving any changes, click the Cancel button.
  • The Save button returns you to the User Profile screen where you may update other account information.
