AnnouncementsEinstein Lecture: The Einstein Lecture in 2019 will be held at this meeting on Saturday, March 23, 2019, in the Kennedy Theatre, 5:30 pm - 6:20 pm, followed by a Q & A session from 6:20 pm - 6:45 pm.. The lecturer will be Barry Mazur, Harvard University. The title of his talk will be On the Arithmetic of Curves. See link to poster here. SEATING IS LIMITED FOR THIS LECTURE and will be based on a first-come first-served basis. Note that this lecture will be videotaped and will be available for viewing on the AMS website and AMS YouTube channel after the meeting. There will be a reception following this lecture. Satellite Conference: Number Theory Conference, Hawaii Number Theory 2019 (HINT) , March 18 - 21, 2019. Hawaii Number Theory 2019 (HINT) will be held at UH Mānoa in the 4 days leading up to the AMS Joint Sectional. It aims to bring together a wide variety of number theorists by hosting 4 concurrently running special sessions.
