The three-year cycle of the Mohammad K. Azarian Prizes honor an annual rotation of the following groups of reviewers:
1) A prize for an early career research mathematician (pre-doctoral through 10 years post PhD), highlighting those who also meaningfully contribute to the research community by writing reviews;
2) A prize for lifetime achievement, highlighting a reviewer who has been especially productive, whose reviews were particularly useful, and/or whose reviews were notably well-written; and
3) A prize for a contribution from a country and institution served by the MathSciNet for Developing Countries program, highlighting the global reach of MR and the extraordinary contributions made by mathematicians who are not in the US or other relatively wealthy countries.
Principal Activities
The staff of Mathematical Reviews provides candidate reviews or reviewers for consideration by the committee. The committee recommends a winner and communicates this recommendation to the Secretary for approval by the Executive Committee of the Council.

Members should be familiar with the Guidelines on Conflict of Interest for AMS Prize Selection Committees(as adopted by the January 2007 AMS Council).
Note to the Chair
For the purpose of archiving the committee activities, the Secretary maintains a central file system for archiving committee records. Committee Chairs are asked to submit committee records on yearly basis. Chairs can submit material at their discretion, and some materials that they may wish to provide are meeting minutes, agenda, and emails. Confidential material should be noted, so that it can be handled in a confidential manner.
