Our high quality, peer-reviewed journals have been published since 1891 and cover a broad range of mathematical disciplines. By publishing with the AMS, your book will be part of one of the most respectable collections of mathematical literature in the world. Here, we offer a step-by-step guide to help you publish with the AMS, starting with selecting the right journal for your paper.
The AMS uses Centralized Manuscript Processing for initial submission to our journals.
To verify originality, your article may be checked by the originality detection service.
All articles submitted to journals published by the AMS are peer-reviewed. The AMS has a single blind peer-review process in which the reviewers know who the authors of the manuscript are, but the authors do not have access to the information on who the peer reviewers are. Questions about the initial submission process should be directed to email@example.com.
New! AMS journal contributors receive 15% off Charlesworth's specialist language editing and publication support services.
After your article is accepted for publication in an AMS journal, send the electronic source files (.tex and .eps) for the final accepted version of the manuscript to the AMS using one of the submission options below. The AMS technical staff processes initial submissions quickly upon arrival in our office; therefore, we cannot accept revised submissions unless there is a critical error in the initial submission. If you find a correction after your initial submission, please indicate the change on the confirmation/proof copy you will receive prior to publication of your paper.
Memoirs is an author-prepared publication. Once formatted for print and on-line publication, articles will be published as is with the addition of AMS-prepared frontmatter and backmatter. Articles are not copyedited; however, a confirmation copy will be sent to authors.
Complete instructions on how to send files are included in the author packages.
