From Differentials to Derivatives
Robert E. Bradley and Salvatore J. Petrilli, Jr.
Which came first, the total differential or the partial derivative? This seems like a simple question. If we understand the question in the historical sense, however, we get the opposite answer, because the total differential is as old as the calculus itself, whereas partial derivatives were only defined in the 18th century.

Numerical Stability in Gaussian Elimination
John Urschel
In this article, we focus on Gaussian elimination through the lens of computation, in particular its numerical stability, and journey through both the mathematical discoveries that have occurred and the questions that remain since the early work of von Neumann, Wilkinson, and others over 60 years ago.

Robert Davis
Guillermo Pineda Villavicencio intends this book for “undergraduate and graduate students, as well as any researcher interested in the fascinating world of graphs of polytopes.” It’s a daunting task, but he achieves it. This text could be used as part of a one- or two-semester course, providing lots of room for flexibility.
