This endowed fund makes grants to rigorous summer programs for mathematically talented youth, helping with scholarship needs and other expenses.

Established in 1999, the Epsilon Fund realizes the Society's mission to support mathematical education at all levels.

The awards get their name from the word the renowned mathematician Paul Erdős used to describe a child: epsilon--a word used in math to denote a small quantity.
