Abstract:

Necessary and sufficient conditions for convergence of an infinite series $\sum \nolimits _{n = 1}^\infty {{a_n}}$ of elements of an abstract boolean $\sigma$-algebra is that ${\lim _{n \to \infty }}{a_n} = 0$.
