Abstract:
An example is given of a noninjective von Neumann algebra M on a separable Hilbert space $\mathcal {H}$ for which there exists a weak expectation of $\mathcal {L}(\mathcal {H})$ into M. Some positive results about weak expectations are also obtained.References
