Anosov does not imply infinitesimally ergodic

Abstract:

A class of hyperbolic toral automorphisms is exhibited which are not infinitesimally ergodic. These provide counterexamples to the conjecture that Anosov diffeomorphisms are infinitesimally ergodic.
