Abstract:

For each manifold class $\mathcal {F}$ it is given a functor ${\Theta ^\mathcal {F}}$ satisfying the Eilenberg and Steenrod axioms except the excision axiom. It provides a nice unification of geometric treatments of homology and homotopy theories.
