Tracing Undergraduate Math and Stats Education
Every five years since 1970, the CBMS sampling survey has collected multifaceted data from mathematical and statistical sciences departments in:
- All types of universities and colleges with four-year undergraduate programs
- All types of community colleges with predominantly two-year programs. The CBMS Survey is unique in providing a comprehensive view of mathematics and statistics programs in two-year colleges.
The reports on these studies outline the evolution of the system of undergraduate mathematics and statistics programs over a 45-year period. They focus on such attributes as: Enrollments; Curriculum; Bachelor's degrees awarded; Course availability; Faculty demographics; Special one-time topics
