AMS Conferences

The AMS offers regularly scheduled conferences, usually held during the summer, in a relaxed atmosphere such as a university campus or a resort. The AMS offers four types of conferences in this category:

  • The Mathematics Research Communities, which provide early-career mathematicians with opportunities to build social and collaborative networks
  • The AMS von Neumann Symposium was held every four to five years between 1994 and 2016. Please explore the archival information. We now honor the mathematical legacy of John von Neumann through the AMS von Neumann Invited Address at the Joint Mathematics Meetings.
  • The AMS Summer Institutes were multi-week gatherings on a single mathematics subject.
  • AMS Committee on Education's mini-conference on education
