Welcome to AMS Open Math Notes, a repository of freely downloadable mathematical works hosted by the American Mathematical Society as a service to researchers, faculty and students. Open Math Notes includes:

Mathematical Modeling

These course notes are designed to be used for a one-semester project-based course in mathematical modeling. They have been used for an online Master's level course for in-service secondary school teachers, as well as for a face-to-face upper-level capstone course for undergraduates. The course consists of eight interrelated projects in mathematical modeling.
