Calls for Applications / Postdocs/early career, Mathematical scientists/faculty, Institutions and Programs

We are pleased to share that the 2023 Biomedical Data Science Innovation Lab (BDSIL) program is accepting applications from late-stage post-doctoral fellows and early-stage junior faculty members!  The goal of the 2023 BDSIL is to foster the formation of new interdisciplinary collaborations which will generate creative strategies on the use of data science approaches for predicting secondary health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We seek applicants from US-based institutions working in the quantitative and data sciences or biomedical fields, specifically involving epidemiology  Competitively selected participants will take part in a series of regularly scheduled online activities beginning in April 2022, participate in a series of team building activities, engage with senior faculty mentors, enjoy presentations by leading researchers and data science experts, all of which will culminate in a 5-day mentored and facilitated project development workshop to be held near Seattle, Washington, from June 26-30, 2023.  Travel and lodging expenses are fully covered for all participants. During the workshop, multidisciplinary teams will craft new research projects and develop them as NIH/NSF grant submissions.  For more information about the 2023 BDSIL, please visit http://innovation.lab.virginia.edu/.
