The Postbaccalaureate Program at Smith College is a 1-year certificate program designed to prepare students for entrance into graduate school in theoretical and applied mathematics, statistics, and other mathematical sciences. Students take courses, do research with faculty in small groups, and receive extensive individual and group mentoring tailored to their background and interests. This includes support throughout all steps of the graduate school application process. Most students enter graduate programs the semester after completing the program. Tuition scholarships and stipends are available for students with financial need. The program welcomes applications from women and gender minorities. The deadline for applications is 3/15 for September entrance and 10/15 for January entrance. Late applications may be considered if space is available.
