The Erdos Institute Spring 2025 Career Launch Cohort enrollment window is now open!
The Erdos Institute is a multi-university consortium that helps PhDs get rewarding jobs in industry and off-loads non-academic professional development mentorship from graduate school programs.
We provide fully remote boot camps (Data Science and UX Research) and mini-courses (e.g. Python Prep, Data Visualization, Software Engineering for Data Scientists, etc.) taught by former academics for current academics. We also provide career coaching and industry placement services, including career exploration seminars, one-on-one career advising, behavioral and technical interview preparation workshops, employer and Erdos alumni career connections, opportunities for direct applications to jobs, and job postings: https://www.erdosinstitute.org/programs?cohort=Spring%202025
Graduate students and PhDs may create their account and enroll here: https://www.erdosinstitute.org/cohort-enrollment.
Sponsored Enrollment Deadline: Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:59pm ET
Self-Pay Enrollment Deadline: Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:59pm ET
Enrollment fees:
\$500/individual for graduate students, postdocs, and other academics (first cohort)*
\$25/month for Erdos Alumni
Free for graduate students and postdocs affiliated with our sponsoring academic institutions
*We strongly encourage prospective participants unaffiliated with our sponsoring academic institutions to seek external sources of funding, both from their institution and through grants, to cover their cohort tuition. We suggest that academics first ask their advisor or postdoc mentor, departmental Chair, and/or Director of Graduate Studies to sponsor their tuition. Several faculty, departments, and graduate schools choose to support their Erdos participants through grants and professional, travel, or conference funds. Alternatively, prospective participants may successfully find support from their College's Graduate Student Career Services, Graduate School, or Postdoctoral Affairs Office.
Erdos also writes letters of support for faculty who wish to write Erdos professional development support into the Broader Impacts section of their grant applications.
For any questions, please reach out to Head of Academic Sponsorships, Amalya Lehmann, at amalya@erdosinstitute.org.
