Do you love summer math programs? Have you ever thought about starting one?
The Summer Mathematics Programs Consortium (summermathprograms.org) is launching a Summer Program Incubator to support those who want to start new summer math programs for high school and middle school students. Demand for these programs is sky-high, and existing programs don't have enough spots for all the enthusiastic and talented kids who want to attend. Running a summer math program can be incredibly enjoyable and rewarding, but the obstacles to starting one from scratch may seem daunting. The Incubator is here to help!
Each cohort of participants will join the Incubator for two years, with applications due in January for programs that plan to launch the summer of the following year (~18 months later). Incubator benefits include individual mentorship by an established program, guidance on all aspects of setting up a summer math program (administrative, logistical, pedagogical, philosophical, etc), funding to visit existing programs during the summer, introductions to funders in this space, and more.
Application deadline for the 2025 - 2026 cohort: January 21, 2025
(for programs that plan to launch in summer 2026)
