Journal overview:
Aims and Scope
Published by the American Mathematical Society since 1960 (published as Mathematical Tables and other Aids to Computation 1943-1959), Mathematics of Computation is devoted to research articles of the highest quality in computational mathematics. Areas covered include numerical analysis, computational discrete mathematics, including number theory, algebra and combinatorics, and related fields such as stochastic numerical methods. Articles must be of significant computational interest and contain original and substantial mathematical analysis or development of computational methodology.
Peer Review
All articles appearing in this journal are peer reviewed by external reviewers. Editors may reject papers without external review that are not suitable for publication in the journal due to reasons such as subject mater or clear weaknesses in scientific content or presentation style. Mathematics of Computation has a single-anonymous peer-review process in which the reviewers know who the authors of the manuscript are, but the authors do not have access to the information on who the peer reviewers are. Questions about the initial submission process should be directed to jrnl-initsub@ams.org.
Information can be found on the journal's Submission for Peer Review page.
Digitized archive:
The AMS Journals Digitization Project has established a complete digital archive of the back issues of Mathematics of Computation from 1943 to 1995. All of these back issues are freely available electronically with fully searchable content. The digitization of the back issues of Mathematics of Computation was made possible through the generous support of an anonymous donor. To access this material click on "All Issues: 1943-Present."
Individual readers of this publication, and nonprofit libraries acting for them, are permitted to make fair use of the material, such as to copy an article for use in teaching or research. Permission is granted to quote brief passages from this publication in reviews, provided the customary acknowledgment of the source is given.
Republication, systematic copying, or multiple reproduction of any material in this publication is permitted only under license from the American Mathematical Society.
