Initial Submission

The AMS uses Centralized Manuscript Processing for initial submissions to our journals.

The preferred method for initial manuscript submission is to upload a PDF file for peer review in one of the following AMS journals:

After your article is accepted for publication, we will help guide you through:

  • producing your article, with tips and information specific to preparing your LaTeX article using author-friendly style files, detailed graphics guidelines, and more
  • submitting your article, with submission information and options
  • tracking your article, with instructions for following your article though the AMS Journals publication stream


Once your article is published, we offer additional information and features:

  • post-publication information, including instructions for making changes to your article after it has been published and for submitting citations, and offprint information

AMS Open Access Journals

AMS Open Access provides unrestricted electronic access to AMS peer-reviewed scholarly research. AMS research journals fall under two models of open access, green and gold. The AMS offers two gold open access research journals:
