Create a Permanent Fund

The American Mathematical Society offers donors the opportunity to establish named endowed funds at the AMS. A named endowed fund refers to a permanent fund where the principal is invested, and a portion of the interest income is paid out annually for a specified purpose. As the donor establishing the fund, you may name it to commemorate a family member, colleague, or mentor.

You may establish an unrestricted named endowed fund, which will help the AMS carry out its broad mission of advancing research and supporting the mathematics community by giving us the flexibility to fund the area of greatest need. If you wish to support a program or area of interest to you, you may establish a named endowed fund in a strategic priority area, for example, early career mathematicians, advocacy, promotion of awareness and appreciation of mathematics, or fostering diversity.

Please see below for examples of named endowed funds at the AMS (listed by category in order of most recent founding).
