Today, February 1, 2023, marks the beginning of Bryna Kra's term as president of the American Mathematical Society. Kra, the Sarah Rebecca Roland Professor of Mathematics at Northwestern University, will hold this elected position for two years. Mathematicians employed full-time at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUI), from small liberal arts colleges to large public universities with master's (but not doctoral) mathematics degree programs, are encouraged to apply for AMS-Simons Research Enhancement Grants for PUI Faculty. This funding will provide support essential to growing and sustaining the investigator's research. Each year for three years, awardees will receive \$3,000 to support research-related activities. Tenured and tenure-track mathematicians who earned their PhD prior to August 1, 2018, and who do not have more than \$3,000 in external research funding, are eligible to apply.
