Accommodations
Participants should make their own arrangements directly with a hotel
of their choice. Special rates for the meeting are available at the properties
listed below for the nights of Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17.
Room rates do not include tax of 14%. When making reservations, participants
should state that they are with the American Mathematical Society meeting
at Rider University. The AMS is not responsible for rate changes or
for the quality of the accommodations. Hotels have varying cancellation
or early checkout penalties; be sure to ask details when making your reservation.
Taxi service is available on a limited basis between the hotels and campus.
See the paragraph in the "Travel" section for information on a complimentary
bus service between the campus and the following hotels.

Food
Service
The dining facilities in the Bart Luedeke Center (student center) will
be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is another
large dining hall (Daly Dining Hall) used by students that will also be
available to participants on both days.

Activities
Book Sales: Examine the newest titles from the AMS! Complimentary
coffee will be served courtesy of AMS Membership Services. The AMS Book
Sale will operate during the same hours as registration.
AMS Editorial Activity: An acquisitions editor from the AMS book
program will be present to speak with prospective authors. If you have
a book project that you would like to discuss with the AMS, please stop
by the book exhibit.
Registration
and Meeting Information
Plenary lectures will take place in the theater in the Bart Luedeke Center.
All Special Sessions and contributed paper sessionswill take place on
campus in buildings to be announced.
Registration will take place in the Cavalla Room in the Bart Luedeke
Center (student center) on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on
Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Registration fees are \$40 for AMS or CMS
members, \$60 for nonmembers, and \$5 for students/unemployed/emeritus;
payable on site by cash, check, or credit card.

Enter Rider from the South Gate and proceed to the Visitors' Parking
Lot. There is no charge.

Events
There
will be a banquet on Saturday evening as part of the celebration of William
Browder's seventieth birthday. It will take place at 8:15 p.m. in the
Common Room in Fine Hall on the Princeton University campus. The cost
is \$28; interested participants should send a check payable to Princeton
University to Scott Kenney, Mathematics Department, Princeton University,
302 Fine Hall--Washington Road, Princeton, NJ 08544-1000 no later than
April 10. Seating is limited and very few, if any, tickets will be
available at the on-site meeting registration.
All participants are also invited to a free concert in Taplin Hall (also
part of Fine Hall) preceding the dinner on Saturday evening from 7:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Complimentary shuttle service will run from the hotels
to/from the concert and dinner from about 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Meeting participants are invited to enjoy pastry on Saturday and Sunday
mornings, courtesy of the dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Education,
and Sciences of Rider University. The AMS thanks the dean for his and
the university's hospitality.
Travel
By Air: Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, is located about
five miles southwest of Princeton. The closest large airports are in Newark
(about 40 miles) and Philadelphia (about 35 miles). The Airporter (http://www.goairporter.com)
will take you from Newark Liberty International Airport to Princeton for
about \$24; call 800-385-4000 or 609-587-6600 for schedules and reservations.
You must take a taxi from Princeton to the hotels or the Rider campus.

The Philadelphia International Airport is served by commuter rail transportation
to Trenton by SEPTA (http://www.septa.org);

By Car: From New York (and north):
From the NJ Turnpike: Take the New Jersey Turnpike south to Exit 7A (I-195
West). Follow I-195 West to the exit for I-295 North toward Princeton.
I-295 will become I-95 South. Take Exit 7A off I-95 to U.S. Route 206
South (Trenton). Rider is a quarter mile on the right. From Route 1 South:
Take the exit for Interstate 95 South (sign says "To Pennsylvania"). Bear
right at junction, following signs for I-95 South (Pennsylvania). Take
Exit 7A off I-95 to U.S. Route 206 South (Trenton). Rider is a quarter
mile on the right.
From I-295 North: I-295 will become I-95 South. Take Exit 7A off I-95
to U.S. Route 206 South (Trenton). Rider is a quarter mile on the right.
From Philadelphia (south and west):
From Philadelphia: Take I-95 North, straight over the Delaware River
into New Jersey. Take Exit 7A off I-95 to U.S. Route 206 South (Trenton).
Rider is a quarter mile on the right.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike east to
Philadelphia Exit 28 and follow the signs to I-95 North. Continue on I-95
North, straight over the Delaware River into New Jersey. Take Exit 7A
off I-95 to U.S. Route 206 South (Trenton). Rider is a quarter mile on
the right.
From south Jersey: From the Garden State Parkway: Take Exit 98 (I-195
West). Follow I-195 West to the exit for I-295 North toward Princeton.
I-295 will become I-95 South. Take Exit 7A off I-95 to U.S. Route 206
South (Trenton). Rider is a quarter mile on the right.
Car Rental: Special rates have been negotiated with Avis Rent
A Car for the period April 10April 25, 2004, beginning at \$24.99/day
for a subcompact car at the weekend rate from the Philadelphia area (the
weekend rate is available from noon Thursday until Monday at 11:59 p.m.).
All rates include unlimited free mileage. Rates do not include state or
local surcharges, tax, optional coverages, or gas refueling charges. Renter
must meet Avis's age, driver, and credit requirements, and return to the

Shuttle service from the above hotels to campus: In addition to
the public buses available from local hotels to Rider (check at the front
desk of your hotel for fares and schedules), the university will operate
complimentary bus service on a limited schedule from the hotels listed
to the university. Schedules should be available at your hotel and the
meeting registration desk.
Weather
The climate in the Lawrenceville area is pleasant in the spring. The
normal temperatures for mid-April can range from highs of about 70°F
to early morning lows of about 40°F.
