The Office of Government Relations (OGR) represents the mathematical sciences in science policy discussions at the federal level. OGR works to ensure sustainable, healthy growth in science education and funding.
Advocacy for Congressional support of research funding and around other policies that affect the profession is our central effort. We work with federal agencies, legislative staffs, professional societies, and Washington-centered policy action groups to advance AMS policy priorities. We provide support and advice to the AMS, its members, and the larger mathematics community about federal government actions and opportunities.
