10th International Summer School on Geometry, Mechanics, and Control

June 20, 2016 - June 24, 2016

La Cristalera, Madrid, Spain

The school is oriented to young researchers, Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering. It is intended to present an up-to-date view of some fundamental issues in topics around three axes: Geometry, Mechanics and Control. Relationships between them will be clearly presented. In addition, participants’ attention will be drawn to some open problems, above all related to applications. Confirmed speakers - John Bailleul (Boston University, United States of America): The interplay between topology, geometry and information theory. - Luis García Naranjo, Instituto de investigaciones en matemáticas aplicadas y sistemas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico): Geometry and dynamics of nonholonomic systems. - Janusz Grabowski, Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland): Introduction to the theory of graded bundles.
